One of these solutions is our partnership with EV home-chargepoint provider, Ohme.
How are customers benefitting?
Right now, EV customers can benefit from support with charging, where we cover the cost of a home chargepoint and standard installation and work with the team at Ohme to arrange a hassle-free installation.
This partnership is also helping customers make cost savings as they charge their car. In 2023, Ohme estimated that Scheme customers who drive an EV saw savings of around £970, when compared to a petrol car.
Alongside other innovative solutions and an increasing choice of affordable EVs, driving an EV is becoming more accessible for Scheme customers across the UK.
We’re also proud to be helping the planet. According to the latest data collected by Ohme, our collaboration has helped save more than 13,500 tonnes of CO2 in 2023, which is the same amount absorbed by around 550,000 trees per year.
Our promise
We’re committed to making the transition to EV as easy as possible, but we know that nearly half of our customers don’t have access to off-street parking. This means they can’t have a standard Ohme charger fitted at their home, so instead we give them access to a public charging subscription and we’re improving our offering in this space all the time.
As we accelerate and grow our EV fleet over the next few years, we’ll be continuing to roll out our £300m investment and sharing more innovative solutions for our customers. Watch this space!
