Motability Operations Board publishes Annual Report and Accounts 2019
Motability Operations, which operates the Motability Scheme, today publishes its Annual Report and Accounts for the financial year ending 30 September 2019.
The Report includes details of a total donation of £852 million into the Motability Foundation. The Motability Foundation was recently established by Motability, as sole trustee, with the purpose of enhancing the lives of disabled people and their families by helping with their transportation needs and independence.
These donations mean that Motability Operations has recorded a one-off loss of £370 million for the 2018/2019 financial year; this has delivered the reduction in capital reserves announced in June 2019. However, having made this donation, the Board remains confident that the business remains robust, affordable for customers and sustainable into the long term.
