Motability Operations is taking part in the #PurpleLightUp movement: PLU logo

#PurpleLightUp is a global movement that celebrates the economic contribution of the 386 million disabled employees around the world. In line with International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) #PurpleLightUp is held annually on 3 December where the world lights up in purple to empower disabled people.

This year's theme is 'Building Inner Confidence' and here at Motability Operations we are committed to supporting our colleagues with disabilities to build their inner confidence at work - not just today but every day. We are actively encouraging our people to share their personal information with us, so we can help to provide the support and reasonable adjustments they need to be able to thrive.

We have a range of very active networks including our enABLE Group. We know we can always do more, so we're working closely with our teams and listening to how we can support our people.

To mark #PurpleLightUp the movement is encouraging organisations to have a 'leader to leader' conversation between CEO's and network leads to discuss the theme of inner confidence. Our CEO, Andrew Miller sat down with Jemma Hughes, enABLE network lead, to discuss what we're doing to support our colleagues with disabilities to have inner confidence and how he has developed his own inner confidence in the workplace.
