Motability Operations and CALLUM are working in partnership to secure the future of electric wheelchair accessible vehicles, by hosting a competition to find an inspiring solution from the next generation of automotive design and engineering talent.

#PurpleLightUp is a global movement that celebrates the economic contribution of the 386 million disabled employees around the world. In line with International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) #PurpleLightUp is held annually on 3 December where the world lights up in purple to empower disabled people.

With many Motability Scheme customers worrying about the barriers to electric motoring, Motability Operations has launched its latest pilot programme in partnership with drivvn.

Euan’s Guide and Motability Operations are inviting anyone who needs to consider disabled access in their daily lives to voice their opinions now. The National Access Survey offers participants a chance to share their lived experiences of disabled access, encouraging feedback that will help to shape the charity’s work.

With the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) fast approaching, Motability Scheme customers have been trialling a range of charging solutions. One of these trials is with Bonnet. The aim of this trail is to support Scheme customers by simplifying public charging and help provide worry-free access to mobility when they make the switch to electric.

The new design of the Motability.co.uk website has made it more accessible and simpler to navigate than ever before. The site now hosts a range of new features, such as the updated ‘Find a vehicle’ tool, enabling customers to navigate a questionnaire to find the right product for them. As well as an enriched electric car hub, to support customers who are considering the move to electric.

Motability Operations and Sycada have partnered to launch a new programme to promote green and safe driving, by trialling the DriveTag product with its customers.

To support customers with their transition to electric vehicles (EVs), Motability Operations is partnering with Zap-Map to run a three-month customer pilot using their app and the charging infrastructure it maps. The aim of the trial is to assess the experience of charging an electric vehicle (EV) for disabled people on the UK’s public charging network and understand how it can be improved.
